I have been an OT for 16 years and I've worked in 5 different states in over 10 school districts.  All the school districts have the same problems.

  • too many evaluations (initial and reevaluations)
  • most therapists write evals at home because there is not enough time in the day
  • An average district therapist write about 25 evals per year (much more in a preschool)
  • On average an experienced OT can take 1.5 hours to write an eval
  • A new grad can take anywhere between 2-4 hours to write an eval
  • Most new grads don't even know how to evaluate a student properly
  • Most therapists write their own evals so there is no uniformity within a district
  • OT evals can vary in style, format, and most important content
  • Everyone uses a template or cuts and pastes from other reports which can lead to pronoun errors, name errors, etc.
So my business can alleviate some of the stressors and solve many of these problems.  I essentially automated the writing process of an evaluation.  Once a therapist tests a student, they can go to the website and answer the appropriate questions.  As they answer the questions their report gets automatically written.  Depending on how many questions you answer that's how long your report will be, which means reports can be written in a fraction of the time, no more wrong names or pronouns, etc.  Also, it is a great training tool for new therapists.
Try my demo out.  You will have to register but it's just a demo so you won't get any emails.  It should only take about 5-10 minutes because it's simplified and you can only fill out the sections through fine motor.  Tell me what you think!  I appreciate all feedback.
Thanks,
Jason
