Hello friends!   Just five weeks until the voting window for the AOTA election begins, so over the next five weeks I will be blogging about my experience and qualities to carry out the key functions of the Board Director position.

Another essential function of an AOTA Board Director is to be ultimately responsible to the membership for the performance of AOTA. In my role as Assistant Dean for Academic & Student Affairs at the University of Oklahoma’s College of Allied Health, I am a member of the leadership team ultimately responsible for the outcomes of the College. I have learned that collaboration and communication are critical to success in my current role with the College of Allied Health in meeting our College mission. I value collaboration and open communication and see the opportunity to work with the AOTA membership as important to the Board Director position. My experience and skills have prepared me well to be accountable to the membership for the performance of AOTA and I would be proud to serve my profession as a Board Director of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

I appreciate your support and would be honored to serve as a Board Director of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Follow me on TWITTER @OTSusanT.
