The Occupational Therapy Manager 5th edition--for sale

  • Hey, do any students out there need this book?  I will be selling it in about a month.  Please contact me if you are interested.  Thanks, Hillary

  • do you still have the book for sale? did you like the book?

  • Hi Meredith,

Yes, the book is still for sale.  I needed it for a class and the class is over now.  It was a great book for the class.   I found it helpful and there were questions at the end of each chapter to help with studying.   I wrote (in pencil) in 2 of the chapters.  Other than that, there is no writing.  Let me know if you are still interested.

    Thank you,

    Hillary Beatrice-Mitchell, MSOTS

  • How much are you selling it for? I looked on Amazon but it was kind of expensive. Do you sell any of your used books on amazon? I sold the one's I did not want to keep there, and bought used texts there and saved a lot of money that way. Let me know how much your are selling your book for if you get the chance,,,,thanks!

  • Hi Meredith,

Yes, the book is expensive on Amazon.   I sold one book on there and found I had to mark it up a lot because of Amazon's fees.  I usually buy my books from either Amazon or Half.com (subsidiary of ebay) and try to re-sell the ones on half.com that I won't re-use.  I also sometimes trade in books on Amazon...they will give you a giftcard credit that you can use for other items.   The value is sometimes not as high for that as it would be if you sold it on your own, but sometimes selling books can be a pain!

Where are you in school?  I am in North Carolina.  I just finished my Fieldwork Level IIA in a school system and am heading into my Fieldwork Level IIB in a SNF.  I'm so excited!  I will graduate in December.  Where are you in your program?  1st or 2nd year?

Anyways, I will sell my book  to you for $80 total, which includes S&H.

Let me know if you are interested. I have a paypal account, so I can send you an invoice that way.  In order to send an invoice through Paypal, I need an email address for you.  Thanks for contacting me!  I also have a book about myofascial release if you need anything like that.

    Thanks,

  • Hi there Hillary!
I think I am going to wait until that edition is around for a while and comes down in price, or buy the 4th edition. But thanks!
I saw it at AOTA and almost bought it there (It was a special price $70.00 at AOTA)
I have been praciticing for 13 years- just thought it would be interesting to know what managers have to struggle with so we can advocate for ourselves and our patients without making it too stressful on the managers, who I know have thier own worries and concerns about productivity and staffing and so forth. Maybe we can learn to "speak the same langauge". ;-) Good luck with your schooling!
    Meredith

  • Hi Meredith,

I think it's great that you want to better yourself and try and understand what managers are dealing with.  I see so many books at the AOTA website that I would like to have, but they are all so expensive, so I would be glad to come down to $70 (including S&H)!  Let me know if you are interested.  If not, that is fine, too.  Take care.

    Thanks,
