Hello! I'm a COTA/L of 7 years and want to complete a certification program to further my knowledge. Can COTA's become CHT's ?
What certification programs are available for COTA's
I am not a CHT, but a quick search leads me to say, no, you must be an OTR.
AOTA has specialty certification:
•Driving and Community Mobility
•Feeding, Eating, and Swallowing
•Low Vision •School Systems – New in 2013!
I believe you must be an OTR with a certain amount of documented hours in hand therapy prior to sitting for the exam to become a CHT.
