Hello - Welcome to my blog.  My name is Yvette Hachtel. I am currently serving my second term as a member of the Ethics Commission Disciplinary Council  Pool.  I am very honored to be running for Ethics Commission Chairperson-Elect.  I am a tenured full Professor at Belmont University where I teach Ethics in our entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate program.  In addition, I currently serve as a consultant to the TN OT Practice Board - a position I have held for nearly 14 years.  I am also a former member of the Maine OT Practice Board where I served as Secretary from 1994-1997.  I am also a General Civil Mediator for the TN Supreme Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission. I have a law degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and I was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1993. I look forward to the campaign and welcome your questions and comments.  Thank you.

  • I  am pleased to learn of the candidacy of Yvette Hachtel for the position of Ethics Commission Chairperson-Elect. Yvette has been a close colleague of mine personally since 2004. I know her to be a competent, thoughtful, intelligent, and caring professional who truly values and models ethical concepts and principles in her day to day life and practice.

Yvette’s experience with state level ethics and her professional education as an attorney offer a valuable perspective as the Ethics Commission Chairperson-elect, and eventually to serve as the Ethics Commission Chairperson.

I personally thank Yvette for accepting the candidacy for this office and her willingness to continue to serve the Association and the Profession in such a valuable and crucial capacity.
