I was just thinking....

I was just thinking about the Six Hats of Thinking and the distinct ways in which the brain can be challenged.  The Thinking Hat tool provides a means for groups to think together more effectively, along with the idea of parallel thinking which is associated with it.  Do you ever try to come to a conclusion by developing different thinking tactics to solve the problem?  Do you think that it's difficult to think in a different way than what you already do?  Does it feel unnatural?  Using the Six Hats of Thinking Method allows individuals and groups to use a variety of approaches within thinking and problem solving to allow the issue to be addressed from a variety of angles, reducing distractions and supporting collaborative thinking.  This allows people to think together, staying on task, ensuring that they focus their efforts on the issue being discussed.  The White Hat concerns information, the Red Hat has to do with feelings, emotions and intuition.  The Black Hat is for caution and points out risks.  The Green Hat suggests growth, energy and life; seeing where a thought goes.  The Blue Hat looks at the thinking process itself and manages the thinking.  The Yellow Hat is seeking harmony and suggests advantages and optimism.  Because everyone is focused on a particular approach at any one time, the group tends to be more collaborative.  What hat do you think that you are naturally in life?  What hat are you the most opposite to?
