I am very excited that I will be able to attend AOTA's Capital Hill Day this year!
It is going to be a whirlwind weekend flying off first to Witchita Kansas to deliver a Keynote Address at the KOTA Annual Conference and facilitate a roundtable discussion on the topic of moving to a single point of entry at the doctoral level for the occupational therapist in the U.S; but then I am off to DC for Hill Day!
This is my 3rd Hill Day and given the increase in attendance every year I cannot wait to spend the day with hundreds of energetic and committed occupational therapy practitioners and students participating in our legislative process by advocating for policies that benefit the profession, those we serve and society! It is a great way to help contribute to meeting our Centennial Vision and becoming a more powerful and widely recognized profession!
If you have never attended a Hill Day, consider making arrangements now while flights are still relatively inexpensive and registering at the AOTA Website at WWW.AOTA.ORG!
Great news Brent. The profession's presence was really felt on Capitol Hill last year, and I expect our collective voice will carry a great deal of weight this year as well especially ahead of November's elections.
What is the title/topic of your keynote?
The title is:
"Capturing the Opportunity: Health Care and Health Insurance Reform
