I had a great mentor when I was a new graduate and one thing I learned from her was the importance and value of attending AOTA Annual Conference. My first conference was in 1985 and I have only missed one since. All 28 have been amazing experiences and there is nothing to beat the professional networking and learning. Not to mention how excited and recharged I am about OT after every one!

This year I have the honor of attending as a member of the Board of Directors of AOTA and as Secretary. I am looking forward to attending events including the SIS Networking Reception, Representative Assembly Leadership Training, the Health Care Reform Town Hall, the Oncology Town Hall, the Eleanor Clarke Slagle Lecture, the Awards, the Annual Business Meeting and the AOTF Gala to name just a few! Of course the opening ceremony is always incredible!

I hope to see many of you in Baltimore! My partner Paul and I arrive tomorrow and I am excited for him to experience his first AOTA Conference. I am not sure he knows what he is in for!

Thanks to all of the AOTA staff who do such great work to plan, organize and market our annual conference.

SEVEN THOUSAND!

WOW!
