Well, this is my first blog attempt but I've been told this is the way to bring private practitioners together. All of us out there that work in ergonomics and occupational health and are OTs have skills and resources that need to be tapped. At conference we were discussing how we might do that. I've opened as many doors as I know how by starting a blog, a group and a forum topic. Now, what?
I've been doing this private practice thing for about 2 years now. I think I probably got into it for reasons that most people do. I had an idea and wanted to be my own boss.
Now I spend my time marketing, dealing with vendors, doing payroll, taxes, plans and the like. Really, opening a private practice gave me exactly what I was looking for -- now I really value the time I spend with clients!
The main questions I have for folks out there are along the lines of: WHERE ARE YOU? I know there must be more OTs that are facinated by work and all of the things that go into it. How do we bring us all together?
