AOTPAC is sending AOTA staff to the Conventions to represent OT and you can follow their activities on this blog. You can follow Tim Nanof at the Republican convention via Twitter @Tnanofaota #RNC2012 and Ralph Kohl at the Democratic Convention @aotaRKohl #DNC2012
While the conventions are held to make the official party nominations for the presidential campaign, there are numerous other events and activities that occur. Members of Congress, their staff, state and local politicians and leaders from around the country attend, as do staff from all types of organizations, including health groups like AOTA. This forum provides a dynamic opportunity for spreading the word that occupational therapy is part of the health care solution. From receptions and outings to serious healthcare discussions and acceptance speeches. Follow it all here and on Twitter.
