The Volunteer Leadership Development Committee (VLDC) was instituted in 2013, and the initial commitee began its work under the purposes of promoting member participation and engagement, volunteer leadership development, and participation initiatives of AOTA. The VLDC identifies and recruits diverse and qualified candidates for service to the Association through elections and appointments, recipients of awards, and other leadership activities. The VLDC serves as a resource to members and various leadership groups within AOTA to further enhance its professional activities and priorities.
The VLDC committee members include: Debi Hinerfeld, MS, OTR/L (Chairperson), Susan Tucker, MPH, OTR/L, Midge Hobbs, MA, OTR/L, Tara Franks, BS, COTA/L, Abby Brayton-Chung, MS, OTR/L, Karen Sames, MBA, OTR/L, FAOTA, and Joan Ziegler Delahunt, MS, OTR/L. Rebecca Argabrite Grove, MS, OTR/L serves as AOTA Staff Liaison to the VLDC.
